Hi. Ask ko lang how long usually nakukuha ung passport from manila visa office? Medyo gipit kasi sa time eh.
Hi,

Per my experience: three working days* with the following caveats:
1. I dropped of complete requirements per the PPR and advice from this forum (passports valid for at least 12 months, pictures following specifications, and a printed out copy of the PPR per applicant [primary + 1 dependent] with filled out appendix)
2. I personally dropped of the complete requirements
3. I personally picked up passport and COPR

*submitted to VFS at lunch time on a Thursday and got the message that it was ready for pick up on Monday afternoon. I was able to get a hold of it on Tuesday afternoon.
Please allow courier time if you will be using their courier services.

That's true, I just wrote it myself based on the receipt (1pc). Went to Picture City in Ayala 30th Ortigas. Best to go to the mall photo studios, they're usually familiar with the required specs.

Hi. Required po ba talaga na magprovide ng bank statement? Or Bank certificate alone is enough na po? Thank you
Bank certificate is fine for the initial application (aka pre-ITA). When you get the ITA, you need to submit the recent 6 months' transactions statement of the accounts you declared in the bank cert.

30-minute ID picture places in the malls usually know the procedure.

Had mine in Fujifilm in SM Bicutan; they were knowledgeable of the type of picture and the requirements about the stamped name and contact details of the studio and date. Their printing paper sucks though, picture turned out yellowish. Would not recommend.

Mga kabayans,
Any idea?
My ct scan (oct 2017) shows nodule increase but very slight since the last ct scan on Nov 2014.
Also CIC requested me to undergo additional tests such as sputum and xrays.
Upon re submission of the additional medical requests, how soon can we received any update from them? Any experience?

Yes, the lines are always long as Manila VFS handles more than one country, but per my experience they are pretty fast and professional. The "generic queue" is probably what you were told about, before you are separated into smaller queues. Queues/ processing rooms are separate for each country/ group of countries so you will only have to deal with the line for Canada after the generic queue.

I used manila VFS a couple of years back for Schengen (lines were extremely long kasi kasabay namin yung tourists for FIBA world cup in Spain), but took me less time than expected.

Canada post-PPR stuff was done last August. It took me less than an hour each to submit and to pick up. I used my own vehicle to get there so I didn't have to deal with the generic queue from street level since in-house parking has it's own shorter queue at the back. During the designated pick-up time, there was hardly anyone in the generic queue.
