Pls I need clarification on the time limit to apply for PR after receiving positive decision in the mail. It is going to be 2 months and I am yet to apply for PR

Hi everyone; for clarity I need urgent response

Can anyone help to clarify the time limit to apply for PR after receiving positive decision in the mail. It is going to be 2 months and I am yet to apply for PR due to sorting out issue with my spouse regarding my children/ dependants accompany to Canada. I was made to understand that if I did not include dependants now I may loose the opportunity to bring them to Canada forever
