Will PR card be given only up to passport validity?

I’m waiting for my PR application to be approved but I’m wondering..will they give me 5 years of PR status, or only up to my passport expiry date, which is a bit less than 2 years from now?

PR card validity has nothing to do with passport validity.

So I’ll get 5 years when I’m approved??
