I have a question,
My hubby is In canada on workpermit. We already applied PR due to we are Pakistani so our file is stuck in security clearance stage which is last stage.
Now my hubby applied workpermit extension with me to get workpermit of mine too. Anybody know when can i get workpermit?

Hey Guys, I applied for TRV in November and a few days back and I got an approval from CIC and they have asked me to send my passport. My question is that my passport is valid till Aug 2018 and they have stated in the e-mail that my visa will expire with my passport, so I was wondering if I apply for a new passport with 5 or 10 years of validity and send both my passports to CIC

Is there a chance that I can get a longer Multiple Entry visa?
Will doing this get me in any trouble?

You have only 30 days from the passport request to submit your passport. Will you be able to get a new passport by then?

Also, you'll need to inform IRCC by email and the web form that the passport number which you had stated in your TRV app has been cancelled + mention the new passport number.

BTW there is no guarantee that IRCC could issue a longer visa validity if you submit a new passport

Hi experts,
I am planning to apply for my parents visit visa (both parents) and was wondering whether cic is going to issue a multiple entry visa or would it just be a single entry visa? Further, I would like to know whether I am required to have some sort of insurance for both of them? Like health insurance etc.

I will be applying online on their behalf and I have all the required documents scanned as well.

Please suggest!!!

I would recommend to get the visa instead going for new passport as you still have sufficient time.
agree with you because later on can apply again either it could indicate something fishy or negative because when you applied you were aware that passport is going to expire in August so why you applied if you wanted longer visa :)

All TRV applications are automatically considered for multiple-entry.

That said, whether or not a visa officer issues a multiple-entry TRV would depend on a number of factors. A MEV is not guaranteed even if someone requests for it (actually, requesting for a MEV would work against the application as it indicates wanting to return again in the future).

For TRVs/visit visas, health insurance coverage is not mandatory. However, it is always advisable to have overseas travel medical insurance coverage to cover any unforeseen health emergencies..,,, and include a copy of the refundable insurance policy (which would be for the same dates of the visit stated in the TRV app form)
