CAD 10k: per person or per family?

Hi,
We've submitted our passports and are waiting for our visas now. The question of cash to bring with us has come up.
The CBSA web-site states that if you bring 10k CAD or more, you'll need to declare. Does this "you" apply to family or to each person?

1. Each person, as long as you declare it, it doesn't matter as there are no taxes or duties on funds.
