i would like that nov applicants to start getting AOR too. but i think that is too ambitious. as per the sheet only 68% of oct applicants got AOR so far so its gonna be a bit later i suppose.
Ya but don't forget that some people got their app back and some don't update their case!

Good Point! But as per the Oct thread - CIC has confirmed they are working on apps received on Oct 19th(as of Dec 1st)...so not far to wait for the Nov apps. Fingers crossed and Good luck!

I wouldn't be surprised if we, unfortunately, did start to see a slow down in processing just because 1) there are almost 700 October applicants, as compared to under 100 for every month prior and 2) holidays are coming. The spreadsheet shows that there are still 200 applicants from anywhere between October 12-31 that are still waiting for AOR (or at least not updating us) so perhaps our timeline for getting AOR will extend a few weeks or so. There may be officers who are ahead on their respective piles but those might be the superstars of the office. I think just to save myself any worry or disappointment I'm not even going to expect an AOR until 2018, then if it comes prior it will just be a lovely surprise. I feel I've done everything to the best of my ability so it seems senseless to stress over this stuff and it just makes the process feel longer to me. But hopefully these guys have some work goals to smash for 2018 and we start seeing great processing times once we're out of the holiday season.

I agree completely. The important thing is that, our applications were received already and that we just have to be positive. We already waited for years to be able to apply, so months is nothing compared to it. All we have to do is continue to be good people and be a responsible future Canadians!!!

Hi

Since I sent my application using normal post, I didn't get the delivery date. But most likely it would have been delivered by November 09, 2017. Please update to 9th.

Another thing I did to help ease any anxiety (I learned this after applying for PR because I didn't do it then) was that I scanned a copy of my ENTIRE application and saved on my computer before I had it couriered. It's a little late for our thread now I guess since we have all submitted our apps for Nov, but I would highly suggest doing this or even making a full hard copy to keep with you. Then there's no 'Oh shoot, did I submit a copy of ____?' or 'Did I tick that box?' or in the event the application gets returned it will be a piece of cake to rectify and return.

Thank you .. yeah if you have mailed the application thru normal mail we should use a reasonable estimate of 3-4 days. The important point is to keep the tracker updated

Great attitude - I agree

Delivered to AOR is tracking to average 45+ days based on the last two days AOR recipients - this is consistent.

So expect average 50+ days wait to receive AOR.

I have no issue to receive the aor a bit late. All what I'm worry about is, who is gonna take care of my application. I hate silly surprises like seeing my app in my mail box bcz of a ( sleepy) officer.

email, if you provided one on the application. If not, then hard copy. ECAS (online) would also show the update typically 12-48 hours after AOR email.

I just called the CIC to ask about 9c and told them that I have lived outside Canada for over 183 days during my qualifying period. Here's what the agent said:

Clicking the Help button on the form will explain that it has to be answered as Yes only if I have lived outside as a Crown Servant etc. Else, I should answer No.
I told her that I have already submitted my application and checked Yes with an explanation letter as this was a confusing question and felt only that part of it applied to me (Did you live outside Canada...) and not the other part (were you a Crown servant etc).
I told her I feared the application would be returned....she said she cannot say what the processing officer will do, but the fact that I provided an explanation letter should help.

Highly recommended. This can come in handy in many ways.
They lost my file during PR processing in 2013. Fortunately I had the whole application scanned. I was only required to print it out again and send it to them.
