Sorry for stupid question as no one may know about this... but still any guess on following?

any changes expected to parents sponsorship from last year? for example, any validation or filtration before person can participate in lottery?

Year 2017 qualified applicants from 2 rounds were 10 to 20 % (max), rest slots got wasted... any improvements expected in current process?

I wonder if the quota has anything to do with the fact that they know only a certain number of people will actually be eligible to apply. So, for example, they choose x number of people in the lottery because they know y% of them will not be eligible and it will amount to an actual number of z which is their actual target. I'm not familiar with the process, I'm just curious if anybody knows if they think about it in that way or not

I think that IRCC was just stupid enough to assume that people would check their own eligibility before entering the lottery.

There are tons of people on this forum who apply anyway despite being ineligible.

Nobody knows until IRCC releases the new rules.

I hope they won't allow ineligible applications to enter into the lottery in 2018. It's frustrating just reading those posts on the forum.

I hope CIC will realize that what a big CLUSTER F*K they made this year and make this system actually useful.
- from myself and my other frustrated eligible friends who didn't get the Invite.
