My husband is sponsoring me under family class-Spouse and sent in application for OWP with PR application

No, you don't need to apply to extend your visitor status. You will have Implied Status after Oct 17th until your OWP arrives.

Note that some people apply for the visitor extension anyways just in case the PR/OWP app is returned for any reason.

I would personally extend your visitor status in case your application is returned for any reason. You don't want to end up out of status due to a returned application.

Inland AOR is taking at least two months at the moment, so there is no need to be worried yet.

Thank you for replying, I got the email from them this morning with my UCI and App number.
I maxed out the number of times to link my application, its just not working !!!!!
