Hi friends, finally the day came for my test n I got 20/20. I would suggest who re waiting for their test turn, start reading discover Canada thoroughly n understand the meaning. The test was not easy unless you understand the book. Please update the excel sheet.
Congrats! How was the interview ? Did they tell u anything about oath? I have my test tomorrow in Edmonton as well.

Congrats again

Thank you Elise72. The interview was smooth too and the lady was mentioning about the next step which is Oath ,but when she did not tell. I would suggest you to read the book thoroughly.

Kurl 761,
Were you notified about the tentative oath date by the interviewer at the end of Interview? to me they said that it might be between Dec 18-22 ,2017.

Hi guys,
Today I had my test, it was simple and got 20/20. Interview went smooth as well, the whole interview took 5 min and whole process less than 1 hr.
The bad news is that the agent told me I have to wait for security clearance to be completed before I get my oath letter and there is no time frame for this can take few weeks and maybe dozen of months:( I have lived the past 10 years in Canada without leaving anywhere for more than 3 weeks a year, I dont know why I have to wait addition indefinite time.. but I guess it's what it is..

Good luck everyone anyways!!;)
Can you remember anything they asked you in the interview that was particular. Like where u work, checking stamps and stuff?

Nothing about income tax filing at all?
I think this depends on each one's case. I have filed taxes since I came to Canada and it's indicated on my application and they have probably double checked so I believe there is nothing to ask about. But in your case I don't know, depends on your tax filling history I would say..

My online status changed this morning to "We sent you a notice on November 28, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on December 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM".

I guess it will take a few days for the test invite to arrive by physical mail.

Someone with editing access to the tracking spreadsheet please kindly update my info.

Cheers!

She didn't tell us the tentative date, but said next year and which month she did't mention.

She did check the stamps on the PP during the "Relevant Period" and asked about my work history. She was very very friendly.

Did test and Interview today everything went well.the test wasn’t hard.but you need to study the book because they phrase the question different from the practice test online. I listen to the audio a lot which help because I hate reading on less it’s a good book this was boring as hell it sent me to sleep.they ask questions about work and how many kids I have and about family stuff.they still doing background check and ask me if I got fingerprints request.we are not allowed to discuss the exam question.and they told the whole room that the process take a year from when you applied.so now the wait is on for DM.

Have a quick question. I just got the U.S working Visa (L1B, within company transfer) today and IRCC informed me to take a writing test on Jan 18. Do you guys have any ideas about my starting work date? I haven't negotiated with the company yet. I would start working in U.S after the test or I can start as soon as possible? Do not want to affect the citizenship.

Thank you guys.

I think we had very similar experience with Scarborough office. Same process and at the end I was told I still have to wait for security clearance and then next step will be the oath. Let's hope that security clearance doesn't take forever:eek:lol

Fingers crossed.
