Hello all
pls advise

I have IELTS trf photocopies for me and my wife. not notarized.

Originals submitted at the time of application of PR.

Will those work?
Have they not returned the originals with your COPR package?

I'm in the same situation - but already submitted my citizenship application with the photocopy, i think the IELTS original was returned to me but i haven't been able to locate it yet :(

I am guessing you updated the tracker with my info. Thank you very much! :)
Hi I believe there are couple of members already updating information in the tracker. I am contributing by reminding people to provide information in timely manner on their updates. We are trending better than other months as far as tracking information - hope to keep it tight for all the steps.

Guys the checklist asks for a copy not original for IELTS ...so if you have provided a photocopy you should be good.

What does IP mean essentially? I know it means "in process" but what does it mean in terms of the overall process. Anyone have any clues?

Also, anyone from November got AOR yet? I don't expect a "yes" answer by the way, but lets give it a shot.

IP means that your application was forwarded from Sydney to your local case processing center (usually located near your permanent residential address). It also means that "real" processing has begun meaning background, criminality, eligibility checks will now be done on you.

- I applied for family ( 2 Adults, 3 Minors) -- Application reached on 3rd Novemver
- Got all applications back today
- Only application of my wife is rejected because proof of language proficiency we sent , IELTS (acedemic), is not accepted as valid proof
- Immigration officer labelled all other four returned applications as complete and asked to send them back when I get the valid proof of language proficiency for my wife

For myself, I sent Canadian Langue Benchmark Assessment (CLB) sheet and that was accepted as they declared my application complete and did not mention any discrepancy in it. Please note that my CLB assessment was first assessment with them and I never took LINC or CLIC course as my initial score was above 7.

Today I called Immigration Services Calgary to book CLB test for my wife. They told me that CLB test result is not considered as valid proof for citizenship application. It is only valid for people who initially get below 4 in CLB assessment ----> then completes LINC or CLIC course ----> retake CLB assessment and get above 4. And if someone takes CLB assessment for the first time and get 8, for example, in all four segments --this person needs to take third party language proficiency test [CELPIP-G or IELTS -General ] to apply for citizenship

When I told to lady that it has already been accepted in my case--- she was of the opinion that immigration officer may have missed or overlooked it in my case.I just want to double check with forum members:

1- Is there anyone who took CLB assessment -- got required score for citizenship in first attempt --- never took LINC or CLIC course ---sent this result with citizenship application and got accepted? CIC website is not very explicit on it.

2- When I will be re-sending applications, should I just mail all five applications as- it-is after adding the valid proof of Language proficiency for my wife? OR I need to fill and print all application forms and presence calculator again?

Thanks

Not sure about the CLB question. But answer to qs 2 is just mail back the 5 applications as it is and attach the missing document.

CLB is no more accepted . check instructions guidelines on cic website. it is clearly mentioned IELTS General or CELPIP .
Although we all know academic IELTS is much difficult and worth more than general one but unfortunately officers can't comprehend simple things.
Best of luck.

CIC never returns the original ones.
