Thanks Amit, yours should be benchmark for the time generally it takes for NDVO to take action when the file reaches to them. In addition, did you try to trigger to them to take actions like TRV application or talking to MP of your area ( I remember you raised it in one of the discussion thread).
Hurray, Got the PPR today !!
No Flight75, I didn't do anything except a small inquiry through webform regarding the status of the file last month to which they replied that everything is in order and nothing required at this point in time and that the file is under normal processing times and that we shall inform you if we require any additional documents or of the decision.
I did try to apply for GCMS notes twice but the request was declined as the forms were not properly filled by me. And before I could send them the rectified forms, I got decision made.
The reason I didn't apply for TRV/TRP is on a simple assumption, which may be my own view point, that I didn't want any rejection history for my kids and that if they grant TRV/TRP, they would go slow on the PR file processing. This advice was also given by one of my friend lawyer in Canada. MP inquiry also is effective only if the file crosses the normal processing times as on the spousal forum, many have done the inquiry and got the same standard answer. I did write to the local MP of the discriminatory behavior of the visa office (NDVO) where they just place the file in queue for no reason and that it should be looked into to which they replied that they shall verify of such incidents and if found shall raise concerns, but I hope nothing to happen.
I wish you all are next and looking forward to see your status's changed to decision made in the coming months.
Good luck everyone. Right now my family back home is super excited of the long wait getting over. I will update with the forward process for sure.
