Urgent help!! Can my spouse Cancel my PR?

Hi there,

I understand sometimes marriage becomes unbearable owing to mutual maladjustment.

The CIC however will most likely view this as "marriage of convenience" upon receiving intimation from your spouse.

The current conditional immigration policy wouldn't allow you to live in Canada without accompanying your sponsor. As others suggested, you should either comply with the terms of your PR or give up your Canadian residency. Please stick to your self esteem!

we got married on jan 2014 and i reached canada on june 2014 ,delivered our baby on july 2015 . left for mother country on sept 2015 and he came on nov 2015 and he abandoned me and left for Canada on april 2016. he came back on feb 2017 and filed for divorce. can i come back? my baby is canadian citizen. my pr expires on 2019

Your spouse cannot cancel your PR. Yes - you can come back. You need to live in Canada for two out of every five rolling years to keep your PR status. So you would want to return to Canada by or before September 2018 to make sure you can keep your PR status. Once you return, you'll need to live in Canada without leaving until you meet the residency requirement.

Confused about why you need legal aid. Your divorce was settled in India.

hello guys, he left me on april 2016 here in India.he came back on feb 2017 and filed for divorce an he went back. again he came on oct 2017 and our mediation is going on. he said he cant take me let her live alone ... now i am stuck here till dec for the entire court procedure .he booked return ticket on dec end . now I need to come back . so what legal aid I can get? we are not yet divorced.The kid is his responsibility too.

You didnt live in Canada long enough to receive any type of aid.

yes I lived in Canada from june 2014 to sept 2015. My baby is Canadian citizen. on the context of showing baby to family he left me here.
