I understand what are you saying and I agree with you, but I started to ignore that kind of posts, they don’t deserve my time since it’s really hard for me to believe that anyone remotely interested in immigrating to Canada and doing some research would definitely give them the answer they are looking for.
I don't want to seem unfair to the "newbies" but it sometimes really unfathomable that you express an interest in a process....went as far as satisfying the pre-requisites of entry into the pool but failed to look at the CRS for the last three months at the very least. I suppose I am postulating what I did or would have done. To me there are some basic things you do before evening spending the money to get WES evaluation done and sit the IELTS test. Otherwise how then would I really evaluate my chances? Nonetheless I seriously try not to get annoyed because I can genuinely understand that some persons are pretty busy and don't have time for the fine details because even as researched as I am I will still "annoy" the seniors for reassurance!

That said.......I am demanding my ITA before my next bday...pweety please!!!! This is me being ridiculously hopeful............

Let’s agree to disagree. Anyone who wants to go to Canada will start immigration process which starts at CIC page, if you’re there, reading rules, anyone with IQ bigger than 70 could make the conclusion where they stand with their CRS. It’s like asking when is my plane taking off and all I have to do is raise my head to look at the board. I can’t understand this behavior.
You know it's not that hard to understand. I think you're allowing your frustration to cloud your judgement, and it's leading you to overestimate the intelligence and conscientiousness of the average would-be immigrant. Keep in mind that people from a very broad range of occupations are allowed to apply for EE, and this includes some pretty blue collar stuff, like the following:

6322 - Cooks
6331 - Butchers, meat cutters and fishmongers - retail and wholesale
6332 - Bakers
6341 - Hairstylists and barbers
6342 - Tailors, dressmakers, furriers and milliners
6343 - Shoe repairers and shoemakers
7281 - Bricklayers
7291 - Roofers and shinglers
7294 - Painters and decorators (except interior decorators)
7295 - Floor covering installers
8262 - Fishermen/women

I've got nothing against these professions, by the way; I'm just using them as examples to illustrate that not everyone who wants to apply is necessarily going to be someone with a 115+ IQ who spends hours reading the IRCC website. The stuff we've learned might seem obvious now, but everyone here started from a position of complete ignorance, and that's a daunting place to be. A lot of these folks just want quick answers without doing their own research. Instead of wasting precious energy vilifying them or getting annoyed, I'd rather try to understand why they might be acting the way they are, and just politely direct them to where they can learn what they need to know.

Anything is possible, they are changing rules every year. I believe they are thinking always how to improve things and since this system is relatively new they need to make adjustments frequently.

I strongly believe that they will give soon a chance to everyone above 400, since people are waiting in those lines for a long time!
You really talk like an angel :D:)

I understand your point but I was thinking of people who have more than 450 and coming here to ask what are their chances, for occupations which you listed above they don’t have bachelors and solely on basis of human capital they couldn’t reach above 450, unfortunately. But that doesn’t mean they don’t stand a chance. I’m thinking about people expecting to be spoon fed with information just for being lazy to read.

Bruh........ I started reading info on this process from as far back as 2009! Thats pre-express entry era and as the program morphed i digged even further ....2013 is when I really started to get serious about this and applied for a student visa....I was unsuccessful (not enough financial resources) little did i know that I could have included my pension contributions but that didn't dissuade me took instead I that it as God's way of saying no, not that way (me rationalising my ignorance) but seriously........The minute I decided to go the express entry route (2016) I made a constructive effort to dot all my I's and cross all my T's even then my application to SINP was deemed ineligible not because of any error or shortsightedness (insufficient experience in a particular NOC- which i somewhat anticipated) Nonetheless I used it as a learning experience.

I just felt like it was a waste of money to pay a consultant for a process that seemed pretty straight forward especially since I spent so much money to get a tertiary level education and since I am my own representative .....to perfect that I have to read as much as I can!!!!

A lot of people have degrees these days! There are plenty of folks with over 450 points who don't want to do their own research, but I just don't think it's worth getting mad at them for it. A good number of them are still decent people who were perhaps just too overwhelmed and felt like they needed to ask their peers first rather than diving right into the research themselves. Most of them are asking pretty innocent questions, so I'd say it's worth giving them the benefit of the doubt, at least to begin with. If you wanna blame anyone, I'd say it's IRCC's fault since they're the ones who designed a system that allowed these types of people to get such ridiculously high scores. Don't hate the player, hate the game!

By the way, good luck in the 2018 draws; I know you've been waiting a super long time. Hopefully the scores will come down soon, or at least some kind of opportunity will present itself for you. :D

It doesn't matter what's your level of English or French, what colour are you, what school or university you attended, what kind of clothes are you wearing, whether you know something about Canadian history, culture, tradition or have "the infamous Canadian experience".. you can just come here, be yourself and you will see people appreciate your attitude, efforts, outlook on life, will to improve, to learn and passion for the things you do or want to do. Like in any other country in the world, it seems Canadians too like genuinly good people with simple goals. They aren't looking for geniuses, philosophers, you don't have to pretend you are better or smarter than everyone else. Everybody will have a chance to show their skills, you are respected for who you are. That's Canada, from experience!! I wasn't on the forum for a while, we came here about a month ago and I can really say it's beyond our expectations. Anybody worrying about jobs - just DON'T! There are plenty of them, there are enormous chances you will do the type of job you want. If you have enough courage to apply, wait for an ITA (which is excruciating), go through the whole process (which is even more excruciating), leave home and move to a country you've never even been to with just high hopes - Congratulations! You are on your way to success. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, I think they will just repeat the scenario from last year and the time for giving out bunch of ITAs is very close!
ps. Those who say it can't be done should not interrupt those who are doing it. LOL! As for the points, they have to come down lower than in 2017, it's pure logic.
thanks for this!

I like it how you talk about job opportunities. I have been living in toronto for 6 years now, and I have to say that there is plenty of opportunities for everyone. If you don't have the Canadian work experience, start with something lower than your ability to gain the basic exp. Soon after you can build your professional career here in your dream country. It will be tough in the beginning, but with the help of the government you will be just fine as they want to make sure you have a job to support your life and family. Instead of being worried, get out there and prove yourself.
Cheers!
thank you for this wonderful ray of hope!

Dont get into such discussions its stresses out us one of my friend @mqamar1994 from this forum has advised me on this long ago...and it really helps focus on positives and leave other parts as it helps a lot...
