Hi our family moved back to Ireland from Canada in the summer. We received out Permanent Residency recently and need to activate it by February. We are not ready to move back to Canada yet, is it possible to fly in and out of Canada and activate PR and then move to Canada at a later date next year?

Yes. But please note that you have to live inside Canada at least 2 yrs in first 5 yrs period if you want to renew your PR later on. For citizenship, you have to live at least 3 yrs in first of 5yrs period.
