Hi Legalfalcon

I have sent a mail detailing our situation to your inbox. Could you please look into those and guide us accordingly?
Many, many thanks!

Best regards
I have. Instead of me writing a lengthy email, if we can talk, that will be much faster. Let me know if you are on WhatsApp and Skype. We can coordinate and talk.

Thank you for your reply.
One more query please.
I was requested by cic to provide pebc eca report. I submitted it via cse. Through notes my eligibity is passed. But still there are no records that my eca report was received by cic on the date on which i provided them. I provided my eca report on 26th august via cse and in notes the date to which they received eca was 7th july. However i never sent any report in july. Shall i be worried and ask them in email that if my eca has been received by them.
Furthermore, now that my appliction has landed up in security screening, if i know all my records are there gud chances of getting ppr?

Thanks and regards

No need to be concerned. In some cases there are clerics oversights of date etc.

As regards to SS, no one can predict how long will it take. For some it is a fairly quick turn around, for others, it takes for ever. So just hang in there. If you application is within the 6 months processing timeframe, no need to worry yet.

Dear @legalfalcon I submitted my EE application on 10 Oct 2017. My spouse's FBI PCC was not available and we wrote a LoE saying that we have applied for the FBI Certificate. IRCC sent an Additional Document Request (ADR) on 1st November giving us additional 60 days to submit the FBI PCC. The fingerprint application was received by FBI on 25 September. So we won't be able to get an FBI certificate by the deadline given by IRCC in the ADR i.e. the deadline: 1st January 2018. We are expecting to receive the FBI certificate by end of January (hopefully). What should I do now? Please suggest.

Around the first week of December, send a CSE and inform IRCC and see an extension. IRCC will give you another 30 days.

But make sure you send the CSE in first week of December. After you send the CSE, IRCC takes 2-3 weeks to process it.

Thank you for looking into it & suggesting . My only concern is that why they haven't picked up my file, ottawa replies to my email that they need additional verifications but I did provided them additional doc which was rcmp. Does this additional verification might mean something to do with eligibility?; as i provided colleague letter with responsibilities & hr letter without responsibilities.

Please advise & thanks
Additional verifications are security related. If you have travelled to US, Australia, or any other partner country, IRCC will share you info with them and see clearance. Also the security is done by IRCC, CBSA and CSIS. So it takes time.

No need to be concerned, just have patience and soon you will have the PPR

Please be advised your file is pending officer’s review. At present no action is required on your part.

Once the review is complete, our office will contact you with further instructions.............

DOES IT MEANS THAT MY ELIGIBILTY REQUIRES A REVIEW OR ITS JUST THAT MY FILE IS IN QUE and eligibity is met at CIo....any advice. Crossed 6 months today
After all the processing is done, i.e. eligibility, security reports are in, and other documents are approved, an officer will do a final review before approving your file. This is what is meant by final review.

So you file is in queue for this.

hi @legalfalcon

recently i received an update from London visa office, that my file "in que for final review", can you please shed light on this final review, what does it mean and how long it take, i kicked 6months on November 24.
See my comment above for final review - #4691

T
he 6 months processing starts when your R10 is passed and not when you receive your AoR. To know your R10 pass date you need GCMS.

Sir
I got ITA on last 15 and now I'm filling up all the form which require for post ITA phase here I'm facing a problem there is part address for correspondence, due to my job profile I have to shift frequently from one place to other so which address I have to give? My permanent home address is enough? Or address in the passport? If I have to give address in the passport I'm now staying in a different address what I'm suppose to do please help
2.In my wife's passport issued at Visakhapatnam and address mentioned is a local address which I am staying now , my daughter's passport carrying a Delhi based address and mine also carrying a Delhi based address other than address mentioned in my daughter's passport, is it make any problem in future??? My wife is the primary applicant sir please help, hope you get what I'm trying to say...
For the address you can give your permanent home address, no need to give the address in passport.

No, having different address in passport is not an issue because the address in the passport is the add which you were living at when the passport was issued, and after that you can change your address, but there is no need to get your address on the passport changed. No need to worry about it and it will not create any issues.

After PR stamping on which address LVO send back the passport? Is it on to address mentioned in the passport or is there any chance to mention a new address at the time submission of passport for visa stamping???
When you send the passport for visa and stamping, the address you provide for the return is where the pp is sent.

Thank you for the reply but would this card be valid for re entry as I dont have enough time now to get it corrected?
Yes, the card you have now is valid and you can enter Canada with it. So if you do not have time now, you can travel with this card and later when you return, get it corrected.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

I found this under FAQ on CSIS website:

'Non-Canadians who apply for permanent residency or refugee status must also undergo security screening.'

So according to the above, security screening by CSIS is mandatory for 'all' permanent residency applicants. However, people here apply the term 'security screening' only for the extra-ordinarily long background checking for some applicants. Again, if every single applicant requires green signal from CSIS, then how come some applications get processed within 25/30 days? Could you please comment on this?

Thanks!
If you read my post https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/the-anatomy-of-a-background-check-in-depth-analysis.500146/

I have written in detail about the role of CSIS and CSIS does do screening for all PR applications, as it is mandated by law.
All GCMS notes will have reference to SS, but in most cases it will be blanked out.

Most of the information which floats around here may be incorrect, so be careful what you read and believe. Some application get stuck in SS, and they will see the file transfer under activities. So that is what this term of SS originated.

Most application will not even bother looking on the GCMS notes that closely to even notice is.

Guys, anyone facing delays with GCMS notes requests?

I’m not sure if the problem is from getgcms, London VO or the GCMS retrieval system in general. I ordered gcms notes from getgcms 3 times. In the first time my file was still in Sydney, Nova Scotia and I received them exactly on the 30th day. The second time my file was just transfered to London VO and also I got them on the 30th day exactly. A couple weeks after I received my second set, I ordered a third set and now it’s been 41 days and I haven’t received them yet. Please do let me know if you get any more feedback on this from other threads you might be part of.

I have faced a similar problem. Applied 2-3 times and all notes initially were delivered within 30 days. But as the application was transferred, my set was delayed and for once I through it was because of GET GCMS. So I applied from visa file which was my biggest mistake.

At least GET GCMS filed status query requests with IRCC, visa file, just stopped responding to my emails.

I finally received my GCMS notes after a delay of 90 days and only because finally GET GCMS filed a complaint with the information commission of Canada. What my theory is that my file reached the LVO and then went into SS, that is what delayed it. But, I have seen similar delays being faced by other white are in Canada and filed directly.

Its IRCC to blame. My file is still under process and every time I raise a CSE, all they say is its within standard processing time, even after 9 months.

But you should contact GET GCMS and they will promptly let you know. Also no harm in asking @legalfalcon

Hope you get you notes soon.
