You could appeal ( unless you have exhausted those avenues already), but I would think travelling to your home country or on the passport from your country of origin would be very detrimental to your appeal. Not sure how your being out of Canada would affect your appeal, but I suspect that since you have to be in Canada to have a refugee claim, being outside would make it very difficult to continue the claim. Others may have better information than what I have given.
