Hi Guys,

My wife wants to seek asylum in canada on the and she has a brother there. Can I cross with her at the borders with our 10 son? Or the Canadian will let her to claim the asylum only?

She will be the principle applicants & you all are her dependents.yes, everyone will be allowed to enter & claim for refugee status (if there is no security/criminality issues)

You need to bring the original Birth certificates of your brother in law and your wife, to prove the relationship at the boarder. You and your family will go through a long interview. The CBSA officials will go through a short background checks on all of your family members.they will contact your brother in law via phone and see his Immigration history to see the relationship is genuine,If everything goes fine. Then you and your family will be granted ENTRY to CANADA. End of the interview CBSA officials will give you a paper which have your court hearing date on it. Then you have to attend the interview for hearing. That hearing will decide whether you and your family will qualify for refugee status or not.Hope that helps.
