I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. I started the application and I selected other. I explained that I got married on 11/18/17. My husband is Canadian and I am a US citizen. I said I am applying to extend my stay because I am waiting on the marriage certificate before I am able to do the spousal sponsorship app. I included his annual income, as well as invoices showing his pay for the last 4 months. I also have an employment verification letter from his boss.
Does it sound like I'm missing anything or is that stuff sufficient? Also, should I ask for a year or 6 months?

Bumping this....can anyone let me know if there is anything I should be doing differently, please? I'm so anxious over this stuff. Thanks!

Maybe pay your pr application fee and include the receipt, shows genuine intent to apply.

Ask for a year..they may give you it they may give you 6 months.

As long as you have filled in what they have asked for on the forms, given the proof they have asked for and explained your situation there's nothing more you can do.

I could do that. I figure if I least upload my marriage license that will be good. We'll see. I know I can't be the first person in this situation.
