Travel history

I have been invited to apply for my PR. After a few months I got a message from CIC mentioning that I have entered travel dates to the US from October 2014 to October 2016 and from December 2015 to December 2016. When I have only travelled for a Weekend during October 2014 and December 2015. So it's either I made the wrong entry or it is a glitch in their system. The reason why I'm saying it could be a glitch is because I tried going to my application and it won't show my travel history anywhere (unless I'm looking in the wrong place). I think because of the contradiction in both entries they asked me to clarify or to send an FBI background check (which takes 10 weeks) and I only have 1 month to get back to them

That being said, I have proof showing I was only there for a weekend (paychecks in Canada, transcripts and fees for university, gas bills, rent, letter from employer, etc). What are my chances of clarifying this in a LOE and still go through with my application? Should I get a lawyer? Anyone with similar experience? Any help and insight is highly appreciated friends :)

Hello,

you wont be able to see the application after you have submitted. however, you can use the below steps to check your submitted application.

1 - go to your profile and select view submitted application (for your profile which has recieved the ITA).
2 - select view submitted application.
3 - replace the link on your browser with https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/eapp/applicationChecklist.do

You will be able to see your application.

if you see that you entered the correct dates, you can write an LOE explaining the same.i dont think you will need a lawyer at this stage.

Nishant,

What you sent worked and it showed that indeed I've entered the correct dates. I took screenshots and I'll send this in the LoE along with other docs proving that I was here during that time.

This is my first time filling a LoE. Can you or anyone provide some help on what to include and some tips? That would be greatly appreciated.

I am grateful for the help Nishant, past 12 hours were stressful.

You are very welcome and im glad i was of help. The LOE is a formal letter you write to the immigration officer explaining the situation. Dont make it too long but make sure you include all details.

Where do I upload the LoE to? I currently do not have a document upload spot in my application for LoE, there is a spot for the police record due to the glitch that calls for a police certificate from the USA.

A separate placeholder should be there for additional docs/ letter of explanation etc.

Hi Everyone

I am a secondary applicant and already submitted documents Post -ITA.

In year 2013 I relocated to Malaysia with my wife as she got an assignment over there and I went on Tourist visa & in Jan'14 I got a job in Malaysia. From Jan'14- Mar'14 my visa is in transition from Tourist visa to Dependent pass (Jan'14- Mar'14) and After getting dependent visa , My employer took approx five months to get a Employment pass for me because it requires the cancellation of dependent pass in order to get employment pass (Apr'14-Aug'14).

I travelled couple of times during that period , In purpose of Visit mentioned 'Employment' but my visas are in transition phases - Tourist - Dependent Pass & Dependent Pass- Employment Pass.

Is it going to impact my express entry application ??

Thanks
Honey
