According to Diya86 . AOR1 it comes to sponsor email , mine too came on sponsor email.

Maybe then what i got is just a temporary file number , as the email does not say to link the application. Curious ???

i haven't received, just called cic yesterday, the agent gave me a file number with an X in front, said the mail would state what i need to do, when i receive it, I am the sponsor

The email which came to my mail reads as Title: Immigration , Refugees and Citizenship Canada : Information about XXXXXX ( Application number)

Dear Sponsor XX XX

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on date XXXXXX on behalf of the following member

XXXX XXXX

On top of this email they have UCI number and Application number mentioned .

the UCI there is it for you or your spouse, if its your spouse then that's your AOR 1.

we should get our email this coming week, by Gods grace, the wait can be annoying, but we know its a phase passing soon

The UCI number which is displayed is mine not for my spouse. ... Does this mean this is not a AOR1.... ??
