Last I heard, under family class, you're exempt from being denied based off of your medical results unless you have some highly communicable disease. I could have that twisted, but I remember asking my doctor about what type of exemptions there were for medical and he told me "none, under family class, you're exempt from being denied."
I would talk to your doctor.

That's for spousal though, parent sponsorship has different rules.

It depends on the seriousness and the costs associated with treating his diabetes.

Parents are most definitely NOT exempt from the Excessive Demand Threshold when being sponsored.

I always forget family class isn’t just spousal.
