I just got my passport, and seeing what the difference in timeline for my parents. They are both seniors.
I believe you are only required to put a change in address if you were gone over 183 days. My parents application included several trips in the past 5 years but all under 183 days.I am living in Canada since 2013, and went for 3 to 4 trips since then till now, and some trips were 60 days long, I mentioned those in permanent residency renewal application with address where I stayed. But in citizenship what should be done?
I am thinking of just mentioning my address in Canada since 2013 till the filing date, as those were only trips I didn't change my address during those days officially, and in presence calculator I am giving all the exact dates for trips for correct days calculation.
Is that correct which makes my previous PRC renewal application information and citizenship address information looks different from each other. But it is the correct way right?
When you ask the photographer that its for citizenship application, they would stamp the back of the picture with their details and sign it.How to submit phtos with the application? Do we have to write name at the back?
Do I have to write my name too at the back of the photo and then put it in envelope and enclose it with the application. I hope that is the way to submit the photo. When you ask the photographer that its for citizenship application, they would stamp the back of the picture with their details and sign it.
Try SHOPPERS DRUGMART, they know whats required and really good priced too.
The bio page of your passport should say the date when it was issued and the date it will expire. In Q14 a) Tell us about passport covering your eligibility period.
In my eligibility period I have had two Indian passports. Old one was before marriage that got cancelled after name change and new passport was issued. For my old passport when I mention expiry date as June 2019 for new passport expiry date Aug 2023. After looking at table of expiry dates, it gave me an impression as if I'm carrying two valid passports as both of them are showing date that is yet to be expired. How to handle this situation?
Also for old passport what would be the expiry date? would it be the date it got cancelled or the expiry date that is mentioned when new passport was issued. I'm very confused about the old passport expiry date.
or the date of issue of new passport becomes the expiry date for the old one. I'm not sure...please help
so the trips only need to be mentioned in calculator right ?I believe you are only required to put a change in address if you were gone over 183 days. My parents application included several trips in the past 5 years but all under 183 days.
You need to report EVERY absence in the calculator. For your residences, there is NO hard rule. The six month rule is totally made up, it is nowhere in the instructions. Residing isn't about length. If you did a four week internship in London, UK, you were residing there. If you do a four-week road trip in and around London, you were not residing there.so the trips only need to be mentioned in calculator right ?
not in the application, unless trip is for more than 6 months or person has changed his address during the trip.
If you didn't reside anywhere else (i.e. you just visited other places), this should be correct, yes. However, I was told in citizenship address info i can just put like from nov 2013 till current date i'm living at xxxx address. And each trip from nov 2013 till now, i am putting in calculator so no need for mentioning them in address info for citizenship
