Guys, im sorry if this issue has already been addressed but can you tell me if there is a minimum educational requirement for my wife to have for her to be eligible to be under the spousal sponsorship programme ?

My age is 20 and I'm doing study and dependent on my parents my brother is permanent resident in canada and he is not married so can he sponsor me with my parents for permanent resident.

For unmarried applicants their gonna ask cenomar, and advisory on marriage (AOM) for those who are married.. Cenomar is supposed to be a new one ( a year validity maybe).. coz lots of things would happen from 2015-2017, so who knows?? You may be single last 2015, but can be married this year..:p:p:D

You're applying for spouse sponsorship, so I guess you're married...in that case, they will no longer ask for your Cenomar, they will ask AOM instead (it's the counterpart of Cenomar)....

Hi everyone. Need your help. I just want to clarify something since i have already filled.up the imm0008 form which is the generic application form. Im a bit confused after i read at the cic website and the instructions written on the im0008 form regarding current mailing address. Since i, as a principal applicant would automatically put my current address on the form that was asked and as understood. However, what strucked me most was that one of the instructions was, if i am using a representative which i did because my husband, who is my sponsor, is my representative, do i really have to put his mailing address as well as his email address instead of mine in the im0008 form. Please advise. Newbie here. I would love to hear your feedbacks. Thanks a bunch.

What is an AOM looks like? Is it the same as marriage contract that we get after we got married?

No , it's different from marriage certificate... And I think it's just a new document , coz I haven't heard of it until IRCC ask it.. hehhe.

It just show on AOM the details of your marriage.. only the important details, such as: name of your spouse, where you got married, date etc.... Basically, it's a document that shows you're already married..

If someone applies for a CENOMAR and this person is already married, PSA will give him/her AOM instead of Cenomar..

Marriage certificate is not enough, they will still ask you AOM in the future if you won't include it in your application.. just like what happened to me.. So, it would be better for you just to include it..

Try to check again the specific documents needed on the application (for Filipino applicants), aside from MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, they mentioned ADVISORY ON MARRIAGE (AOM) too, if you didn't notice it...

Thank you very much. I researched just a while ago. Yeah u r absolutely right. It looks like a cenomar but there is a heading on advisory on marriages. I already requested the other day for a cenomar thinking that it was the same. I probably should go to NSO and request for the change of application if it would be ok for them. It will supposedly be released on monday. Im hopeful that they will accept the request that i made.

Ok i just hope that the PSA or NSO will give me an advisory on marriages when i will claim thr request that i made last Wednesday since i am already married.

I requested for cenomar since i dont know of that AOM not until you described it earlier. I was just confident that cenomar and aom are pretty much the same. I just hope that the cenomar i have requested last Wednesday, an Aom will be released or given to me instead of cenomar hehe
