Hello All,

I have received ITA on 15th November 2017. My CRS is 440. Currently, I am filing my PR application. I had a couple of queries:
  • Do I need to provide the expired passports for me and my spouse?
  • Do I need to provide an affidavit for the name change for my wife as she has changed her name after marriage? Her first passport is having an old name and the renewed one has the new name. Few documents of her are having an old name and few are having a new name, will this create an issue?

Thanks in advance.

1. No. You do not need to provide your old passport details. Do not forget to use it to record your travel history though!
2. Yes. Change in the name should be made clear by a legal document. You could provide a copy of her old passport as an evidence supporting the claim. It isn't needed for any other purpose. No, this will not be an issue. People change their names; actually, they change it more often than we think TBH!

Good luck!

One more query. For address history, CIC asks to provide following information.

"Provide all of the addresses where Samir Narendra Patel has lived in the past ten years or since Samir Narendra Patel's 18th birthday, whichever is most recent. Do not leave any gaps."

Currently, I am leaving at my permanent address where I have born and brought up as now I am working in the same city. But in last five years, I have been staying at the different place(rented house in another state) due to my job, Do I need to mention that in the application?

Yes, you need to record all of your address histories.
Both domestic and abroad.
