Thank
Thank you for this. I filed for nulity here in Ghana. He is still very much married to his first wife. No divorce yet, though they are still in court. He married me afterwards and filed mine but I was denied before I found out that he is married. He did a church wedding with his current wife. I have pictures to back it up. He is making the nulity and divorce process difficult for both his first wife and I. I want to seek justice. There is no way he can deny he did commit bigamy thrice in same country. He is a Canadian citizen and have lived there for over 20years. I want justice. In act his first wife and I want justice. Don' know what to do.
Hi,
Sorry to hear the finer details. It seems like your 'husband' has a history of deceiving women for marriage.
In addition to
@scylla's suggestion, I would also recommend you prepare two sets of a complete file containing:
1. Notarized copies of the marriage certificates of all three marriages
2. Court certified copy of the divorce suit filed by the first wife + a court document which states the divorce suit has not been decided as yet
3. Court certified copy of your annulment case + a court document which states your annulment case has not been decided as yet
4. Photographs + videos of the three marriages
5. Notice of the Banns of Marriage in the Church for the third marriage (if that's the case)
6. Any other government-recognized evidence that confirms all three marriages are legally valid and subsisting as of date
7. Copy of his Canadian passport/any other ID proof
8. Copy of the third wife's passport/birth certificate (you could get a copy of the birth certificate from the church where she married)
You must then mail these files (through recorded delivery) to Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario + to the Accra visa office so that he cannot sponsor the third wife (at least until he divorces the first wife + remarries the third wife and/or he lives with the third wife in a common-law relationship before the first divorce).
If bigamy is a criminal offence in your country, you may also want to seek legal opinion for filing a criminal case against your 'husband'
Hope this works for you
