Called cic today. Told them it's been 24 months my app is in process. Asked them if they can tell me when the application is expected to be finalized. The response was no we cannot tell you. Told them if I don't know how long it will take then how would I know this endless waiting is worth it. The response was it is up to you if you want to wait.

The respected folks there think the only objective in our life is to become a pr and everything else must be given up for this cause. Just because we don't have any power they can delay this wait time for many years. If we have any issues with that we can just give up and leave.

They are of no help.calling cic rep is useless that's y i stopped calling them months ago. Last time I called them they told me not to call and inquire anymore lolzzz

If i am correct you are also from pakistan?
And you have hit 27months now?
I am also with spouse and from pakistan but inland applicant. Wife is back home. Only i am stuck in ss while rest is done of me and both spouse. Spouses ss is also done. Im hitting 24month on dec 2nd. Please share your notes and where are you stuck and are you going to wait longer now or thinking for ee or something?

Same here man ,dec 2015 applicant.. i dont know my wife and i are discussing that we will wait till jan at most! And then we will apply for expresss entry because it would be stopid to wait after that long. I am pretty sure that if we dont receive ppr by dec or starting of jan2018 than we all here will be stuck again for i dont know maybe an year! I think we all should think about it

My concern is what if we apply through EE and stuck at SS again? 3000 dollars would be wasted.

EE, I need to take IELTS again (prepare 2 week + 2 week for result).
Then wait to be invited by EE, prepare the application. That's at least another month. Or maybe more, cause we need to criminal check from hometown again.

And then wait for another 6 - 12 months or more if there is ss.

It's more likely you will undergo SS aging because you have an open PNP application that is waiting for SS. Instead you can file a Mandamus case and spend same amount of money and get the final result. My friend applied OCT 2014 and recently submitted a Mandamus to federal court and got PPR less than a month.

Not expensive at all if you want to spend 3000 on EE. Mandamus has 3 steps and each step has different cost but the whole process can be done between 3000-6000 depending on your lawyer. Consult a lawyer because at the end of the day if your EE also stuck in SS, you need to do the same thing.
