Why would you want to send a message with the expected date of an unborn child's birth?
You are supposed to notify them only when the child is born and you have a birth certificate in hand.
Do not complicate things by initiating unnecessary communications.
It will delay the processing of your subsequent application.

Actually I received my PPR email yesterday and they have given only 30 days of time to submit our passports and my expected date of delivery is 24-nov -2017 so i wish to take an extension in time to arrange for babys birth certificate and passport. So was concerned on how to move ahead... inputs and suggestions in my case would be very helpful. Thanks in advanced.

Well, you can ask them to extend your passport submission deadline using this cause.
In that case, you can add the newborn child once you have the birth certificate and passport in due time.

As far as I know (and I know this for certain), expecting a baby is not something CIC wants to hear from you.
Even if you are expecting the baby tomorrow, they do not need (actually, want!) to know.
Look at this from the 'legal' point of view. Something that can be proved by a document.
Can this be proved with a document? No.

As of now I have decided to collect a letter from my gynaecologist stating my condition and reply to the email id that i received my PPR asking for extension in passport submission. What response can be expected...? does it appear in my cic account or email..?
