Hi folks,

My express entry profile is under process and I had received an additional document request on 25 October which I submitted successfuly on the 6 November. The status on my profile number changed from "Your action required" to "Submitted". However, I received no trigger e-mail or automatic do not reply message at all which I always received previously. Is this normal or should I write to CiC? The status has definitely changed to Submitted again and under the file uploaded section, I do see its uploaded or peovided. Please suggest.

Hi,
Do not panic if you do not receive notifications for every change in your profile.
Some people get notifications but see no changes in the account, whereas, some see changes but not notifications!

CIC is a funny place and please do not count on them about getting any meaningful notifications apart from your PPR.

Keep an eye on your email (specially Junk/Spam box) and let the nice people at CIC do their work!
Good luck!

Hi friend,

It is weird how they take so much time to do a background check. I was told that specially if your travel history is a bit complicated or detailed. However, trend now a days is 2 months since the inception of your back ground check, you can expect a PPR. This is not my version but someone who has helped many people as well. Fingers crossed.

Nothing weird here. Do you know how long it takes to get the PR in most other countries?

Unless we are one of these people waiting for over 6 months, we can consider ourselves lucky.

I was just mentioning in context of like common wealth countries like NZ and Australia which take maximum 5 months once a case officer is allotted. These are countries that want immigrants. However, as long as one gets a positive outcome. No problems with respect to time. I have waited and may as well wait more :))
