Hi,

I need a quick answer. I got an invite for PR.

In my Work history I only included job roles that are relevant to my current skill set.

In personal history I added a 4 year period where I worked at a grocery store.

Question is - Do I have to add the grocery store employment in the work history section to avoid a mismatch even though it's not the same job description for the roles I've held since.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

No. Unless you want to claim points for your job at grocery store
Everything in the work history section counts towards your CRS for which you need to provide reference. If you are not claiming points for it, leave it in personal history

Thank you so much for you reply. I thought that would be the case!

Another question - I've included one of my job roles in England in the work experience section. In terms of showing proof, I have the original contract offer which specifies the job title and pay but it doesn't show the list of duties. Do you think this will be flagged up in my application?

It definitely will. Get a proper letter with all the required information

Ahh I’ll try reaching out to them although I’m not holding my breath as most of the people that worked there have moved on and the company itself relocated. - Any suggestions if I can’t get the job duties?

Also, just had a look at the section where it asks about my travel in the last 10 years. I’ve only been to Canada for holidays between 2007-2017. I vacationed in Canada in 2008,2013 & 2014. Am I required to list the dates?

If you can't get anything from the company, get a letter from you manager/supervisor and have it notarized. Upload that along with all the other documents you still have (offer letter, pay stub, tax record, etc).

Yes you'll need to list dates in travel history

I was thinking I’d upload copies of the original offer of employment and bank details that show the payments from the company to my account. In the area for letter of explanation I was gonna explain the circumstances for the company and advise that I used my previous manager from England as a reference to get a job out here. Does that sound viable?
