Do I have to respond to CIC if i dont meet the criteria and then resubmit my interest for sponsorship next year?
For your q1, I used with my own client id to login in e-cas. There I see a 'Sponsorship Application Status' which is currently set as 'Application received'.Folks - Anyone whose app has been sent to the LVO, can you shed some light on the questions below:
1- I see the app on ecas but it shows the permanent residence section only with "app received". There's no sponsorship section as described by other members. Did you see that with your app at some stage?
2- I'm able to link the app to myCIC. It also shows permanent residency as app type with 'your action is required'. If I click 'check status and messages'; the status shows 'we're processing your app" and the messages section is blank. So, I'm not sure what action is required since there's nothing I can click here. Any ideas?
3- There's a button at the bottom "view submitted app". It brings up a page with submitted documents details which is all blank, the next page brings up "your declaration and electronic signature". The statement shows "I agree that by submitting this application, I am electronically signing the application" with fields for first and last name. Do we need to sign the application electronically as well or is that only for document submission if IRCC asks for it?
IMM0008 has to be filled out only by the principal applicantHi.i have a question,if someone can help please.i am sponsoring my both parents.from guide,I understand that Each of them will fill their own schedule A_Background (IMM5669) and Additional family information (IMM5406) forms.
But the main Application form (IMM008) will by filled only by principal applicant(my father) OR one form each by father and mother?
I will appreciate your response
Yes, I used their CIC account. Apparently the email address needs to match with the one provided on the application. For your q1, I used with my own client id to login in e-cas. There I see a 'Sponsorship Application Status' which is currently set as 'Application received'.
I am still unable to link the application in my parent's myCIC account, so don't know about q 2 & 3.
Did you use your one of your parent's myCIC account to link the application? Also did you submit the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form? I called CIC and they said they cannot provide any info or help unless we submit that form.
Why should i submit the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form if i am not using any representative? Can you clarify pleaseFor your q1, I used with my own client id to login in e-cas. There I see a 'Sponsorship Application Status' which is currently set as 'Application received'.

Will my application be rejected if i don't submit the file IMM 5476? i didn't submit that form because i thought it will be only used when i will use someone to fill out my applicationYes, I used their CIC account. I did submit IMM 5476. If you didn't, IRCC won't discuss the application with you.
they counted the old rule. new one kicked in in octHi all, I applied for parents sponsorship in July 2017, and my sister who is 19 was not a dependent under the old rules.
I have enough income for 5 people, and my sister would have been 6th person, and I don't meet minimum income for 6 people in 2014 (2015/16 are fine)
My question is would they have looked at income for total 6 people even though my sister (over 18 and not dependent) will not being sponsored/accompanying to Canada under the old rules? I did get sponsor approval, and wondered what they counted.
I know the dependent age has changed now, and we can request to add her, but wondering how this will impact the financial requirement,
since I wont be able to meet it with including her. So is it better to just leave her out of this whole thing??
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
leave her out. I didnt submit the application before october 24 with the new rule. now my brother is added to my application and i do not meet the minimum lico requirement for 5 people ( short by 1800$ for only year 2014). I applied regardless on nov 1st as all my forms were filled from before. I recently got a letter to update IMM0008 and send over.Hi all, I applied for parents sponsorship in July 2017, and my sister who is 19 was not a dependent under the old rules.

To declare yourself the uncompensated representative so you're authorised to discuss the application or get status updates from IRCC.Why should i submit the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form if i am not using any representative? Can you clarify please
No, it won't be rejected for not submitting IMM 5476. You can still send in that form at any stage but the processing to add you as the representative will take longer than if you'd sent it along with the application. Will my application be rejected if i don't submit the file IMM 5476? i didn't submit that form because i thought it will be only used when i will use someone to fill out my application
