WES soft copy + delivery method

Hi All,

Today is the 19th business day and we still haven't recieved our WES evaluation. It still shows status as 'evaluation in progress'. Do they usually stick to their 20 business days commitment? Is it worth following up with them?

Also, we have opted for the standard delivery method as of now - but are wondering if the express delivery method is a better option? Any experiences?

Lastly, wanted to ask if there is a soft copy given as soon as the evaluation is complete? Or does one have to wait for the hard copy? If there is a soft copy can it be used to make a profile?

Thanks!

It depends. Usually its Plus or Minus a week of 20 days. Some people have got it in 15 business days and some in 30 business days. Apparently the 20 business days STARTS not when they receive the document but when the EVALUATION in PROGRESS stage happens. You need to count from then. Again, its never really consistent. The maximum time I take seen in this forum is 30 Business days.

Once the evaluation is completed, you get a soft copy. The hard copy reaches you depending on if you chose standard or Express. Most people recommend Express and thats what I did too. Express reaches you by courier in 3 days or so. Standard = Well God Help you. Takes anywhere between 4 to 6 weeks. Not worth it in my opinion. I am not sure if there is a way to change the delivery method once you chose standard. You need to check with them.

As for contacting them, they sometimes reply to email. They sometimes dont. I always call them. Expect to keep redialing multiple times since they bump you off with an automatic message saying "Heavy call traffic. Please call later." However I keep dialing and I get through after 7 or 8 attempts. After that, expect to stay on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 45 minutes. Luckily I use VOIP so it really costs me nothing to call them. Waiting 45 minutes on an international call for 45 minutes is again a big massive bill! So try and use some internet calling service. I usually leave it on speaker phone and go ahead and do whatever I am doing like watching TV. ;D After about 20 - 40 minutes, they will answer. Once they answer, they are pretty helpful.

Good luck!

Yes WES take around 20 to 25 business days and you should be able to see the soft copy online once its evaluated. You need WES reference number to create EE profile.

Yes, you can make the profile once your get the soft copy. You only need to scan the hard copy if you are applying for PNP or applying after ITA.

322 CAD including Express Delivery.

This is per application. You can send your multiple credentials. Its not based on per degree.

However, if you are married and doing it with your spouse, each of you need to do it independently so it will be 322 + 322.

What's the use of selecting express delivery? Do we need those hard copies?

Is the hard copy necessary? I'snt the soft copy more than enough to process the PR application?

It's enough but better to have it, I mean you paid for it :) . (uploading your wes eval isn't even required but some people do it for extra safety)
