It depends on your case. The oath doesn't take long. It is the background check that they are always waiting for..
Average Case is 7 to 11 months now.

In my case, I have only spent the eligible five year in Canada. So no background check unless I get a FP request. what do you think?
Also, I have no trips made outside Canada except one trip for 19 days.

They always do background check. The one they did for permanent residence has expired. They have to do a new one especially if you went outside canada. It takes 3-5 months for the check
I am waiting for my oath date. Nothing yet. Passed test on August 17-17.. I want to travel so the officer sai

The officer said we will do it urgently but I check online everyday it says in process...not even decisio

For these people everyone is the same. Even sometimes if you didn't go anywhere they take that long. They need three checks Local Police, Rcmp, and CSIS. And you can't do anything but wait..it's just their criteria for citizenship.
Just be patient it will come. Their process is faster in 2017. In 2013 people would wait 3 years almost from day 1

In some cases they wait until the check is done then they invite you for test. In others like mine they called me for test early but the check hasn't come yet.

Test date: august17/17
Still waiting for decision made and oath date
