Hi there,
I'm Australian and I am married to a Canadian and we have been living in Australia for the last 10 years.
Prior to that, we lived in Canada for a few years where I got my permanent residency. I thought it had expired, but recently found out that because I am married to Canadian it is still valid.
My wife has an Australian citizenship, and we have plans of moving back to Canada in a few years and I wanted to see what I need to do to be eligible to apply for my citizenship?
and if the 10 years of being a PR + being married to a Canadian can help with anything?
We would be looking to live in either Ottawa or Montreal.
I have been to the consulate here in Sydney and sent multiple emails to immigration Canada, but I haven't had any clear answers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
