My parents did their medical exam at first week of January 2017. A few weeks later in the system I saw medical exam passed. I don't exactly remember the date but it was two or three weeks later.
Here is the information about pre-arrival letter. I think, it means you are approved as PR and very soon you will get the PPR.
you can used super visa medical if you did that at least last year and yes, you can ask them to submit passport here
CIC has sent us new medical request this morning...even though previous medical results are still valid for more than two months...
As i mentioned earlier they are out of quota for PGP visa limit of 18000 to 20000, they will not issue visa till January first week and may be your medical is valid till first week of January only. I know it's unnecessary headache to go through re medical but we don't have option. I am 100% sure that if they sent pre arrival letter means you are approved as PR but they can't issue the Visa before January. Still i can't understand, why can't they extend the medical expiry date to February. Order GCMS notes again and see what't going on with your file.
