PR application has nothing to do with being authorized to work in Canada. You cannot work in Canada simply because you submitted a PR application.

Hello and thank you very much for answering so fast.

When I did my PR application had to do it through express entry using my LMIA the one brought me here and I was told that since I have a long term contract with the same company brought me here and this one had to show in my profile always though the work permit would be go together with my PR application.
Could you please confirm this to me.
Thanks a lot

Um, sorry, I don't really understand what you are getting at. You may have been eligible for extra points with an LMIA, but that's the only reason you may have submitted the LMIA with your PR application.

Work permit applications are completely separate from PR applications.

If you want help with renewing a work permit, you will have to give us some information. What kind of work permit do you have, when does it expire, etc.

Hello,

I have a question, I received ITA on October 2017, but my job was terminated a few days ago.

I worked on LMIA-based close work permit from August 2016 so more than a one year. Can I keep 50 points for the arranged employment after job termination? My employer received LMIA and I got a work permit based on the job offer in 2016

LMIA was for both: work permit, and pr application support and my work permit was issued for two years.

I know, I can't work now and I have to apply with my new employer for the new LMIA or bridge-work permit later, but they should keep my points as per my work history?

Please help because I am confused

Thank you

So sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I do not have better news. The job offer must remain valid until you actually land as a PR. If your points are still at or above the minimum score for your draw after deducting the 50 points, your ITA is still valid. But if your score now falls below the minimum score, you should decline the ITA and find another way to improve your score.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/mi/express-entry.asp

"Loss of offer or inability to perform duties
(3) If the offer referred to in subsection (1) is revoked or ceases to be a qualifying offer of arranged employment or if the foreign national is unable to perform the duties of the employment or is unlikely to agree to perform them, the foreign national is no longer entitled to the points assigned under subsection (1) in respect of that offer and the total number of points assigned to the foreign national under the Comprehensive Ranking System is to be adjusted accordingly."

Hello
I think I understand low it works.
PR and WP is different ok.

My situation is like this, I came trough lmia in April 2015 with 2 years WP. I applied for PR in Nov 2016 and I though it was enough so, never applied for a WP extension.
Right now I realized and just stopped working because my WP expired last April the 30th.

My questions are, is there any way to apply now?

How about my pr application, could it still go trough?

how long am I allowed to be en Canada?

If I leave the country now, could I came back as a visitor at least?

All in all, which would be the best way to fix my issue??

Thanks a lot

So - you've been working without authorization for 6 months? ... ouch.

My questions are, is there any way to apply now?
No. You would have been eligible to apply for a BOWP after submitting your PR application, up until the date your work permit expired. Since it has expired, you are no longer eligible for a BOWP.

How about my pr application, could it still go trough?
I would recommend finding an immigration lawyer ASAP. Typically, working illegally is grounds for refusal of a PR application. As well as getting deported and banned.

how long am I allowed to be en Canada?
You are way past the 90 day "grace period" during which you can apply to "restore" status as a visitor.

If I leave the country now, could I came back as a visitor at least?
Not sure.

All in all, which would be the best way to fix my issue??
Speak with a lawyer. And prepare to leave ASAP.

Sorry for the terrible news... that's a heck of a mistake to make, but you certainly aren't the first. Please do seek legal assistance, I don't know what a lawyer can do for you, but you need to find out.
