Honestly there should be some transparency because this is a very important hallmark in people’s lives and the lack of transparency does take a toll on the lives of those involved in this process. I don't have the dates handy. Just remember my AOR from Mississauga was June 5, 2017.
next step would be prepare for pack up and start a new life in canada i suppose as the passport request should mean PR approval.

My AOR was June 6,2017. Praying that I get PPR anytime this 1st week of November.
i Guess you have to wait for them to stamp your passport and send it back with the visa. you are almost there.
My visa office is also POS- do you mind sharing your timeline and which country you are applying from?

Hey guys I haven't been able to find the answer to my question.. With my background check processing, I know my passport request will be next. The problem is that I am from the US and I only have a passport card, not a passport book. Is this going to be a problem? Also I did send certified copies of my passport card along with my application. Is it possible I will not need to go through the ppr process? This process is so stressful, as you all know. please help
