Canadian High Commission New Delhi took my interview on call

Hi All,
I uploaded all my documents for the PR application in the mid of Jun 2017. I received a call from the Canadian HIgh commission New Delhi on 31st Aug 2017 and they took my interview over the phone asking details regarding my job, educational background and spouse. They also said that they will give me a call again in case more information is required.

Can anybody in this forum plz let me know if they received the same kind of call from CHC New Delhi? If yes, can you plz confirm the status of your application after that call? I would be highly thankful for sharing the information with me.

Hi Arun

I got a similar call and I now have a PR visa. As long as you did not manipulate any info on the call, you need not worry. It looks like a regular call they make to a few random people, but also depends from case to case. If there is a further check, they will refer to another department. But my experience suggests that a call may not always mean something fishy. Best wishes!

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply Wanny. How long did it take after this call to get your visa? Did they call you for a face to face interview also? Would be great if you can elaborate a bit more. I am a bit anxious ( You would know the feeling! )

What is the date you filled your application? And what is the status of your background check on your CIC account?

Also, please share the number from which you got the call? So that we can save that number of New Delhi Office and be better prepared.

I submitted my application on 6th August
The status of my background check still shows Not Applicable
The number is 0091 11 41782000

Yes, I very well do The details ..ndvo and phone number provided by you in email below were same for me too. I got my visa in about a month's time after the call and I was not called for any face-to-face.

NA2 - Not Applicable after medical passed
IP2- When your stage showing we are processing your background check after that you get PPR in most cases
