today my cic changed from your additional documents have been updated to We do not need additional documents.
what next???
and what does it mean?
i sent my app on july 10, 2017

Check ECAS tomorrow morning. You might see a change there. If you don't have already, you might get SA tomorrow. And AIP likely soon as well.

@sylvain1 i did not get SA yet. i am inland app, can they send me SA nowadays? they did not ask me Medical exam yet, and they did not start my BG check yet , my cic says NA for BG

Check ECAS using the sponsor info.

I took for granted that they asked you for more proofs of cohabitation and/or relationship. By the change of status in your mycic account, I presume that they looked at what you sent them. So you might get SA soon, which would be seen as "decision made" on the sponsor side on ECAS. Also the sponsor would receive a letter by email although it's not always received.
AIP could follow soon after. Despite the fact your mycic account states that your background checks are not started, they might actually be in process. Regarding your medical, they will request it when they will expect to be able finish your application soon after.

Ok then I don't understand why it changed from your additional documents have been updated to we do not need additional documents. However, any update means they touched your file, so I would expect some movement soon. Did you check ecas?

Mine did that after my documents were sent. I actually think it changed after back ground check started but before med request Mohammad

I could be very normal. But I just don't understand the change in your mycic account regarding documents if you didn't have to send any documents. However, I see it as a good sign that they are working on your file.

Good day everyone, I landed in Edmonton today. The whole process was completed within 5 minutes along with the usual 3 questions. Firstly,I really appreciate all the time and effort put forward by the users in answering my queries. Last but not the least @profiler , whom I refer as the "Yoda" of this forum. Who directly and indirectly helped me in my queries. With regards to my timeline, I am a September 12th 2016 application and I received the following from CIC namely AOR1,AOR2,SOWP,Landing Confirmation. My wife being the sponsor never received anything namely AIP,SA and to those applicants whose applications are pending I hope it should be done with soon. @mohamednbil179 is a 2017 applicant. Sounds like they wanted the Sched A and PCC, but then located it with the package (which is now considered faux-pas).

Congratulation! Same application date as ours except we haven't heard anything new. Patience is a virtue.

Virtually ALL BG/Security checks are done via CSIS. CSIS / CBSA will contact Interpol and other regional intel partners.
