I noticed all the people who got AOR are who applied at 11 October and 12 October with 14xx and more 15xx days .. looks like they process the first who come with more days having the periority ..

One question: how do they know how many days of presence the applicants have BEFORE opening the package?

Monmon is probably assuming they open the package to find out and set the application aside if days less than certain number. Highly unlikely. Once they open, they process it IMO.

Well I just saw this its common amoung most of the people who got the AOR that they have higher number of residence days .. I asked a paralegal and someone else told me that applications with number of days close to the minimum stay longer as they need to check it more to be sure it cover the required number of days .. plus people who have much time have PRs close to expire may be they tend to finish them as they cant travel with a finished PR or will need renewal .. Renewal takes 5-6 months .. again its just esp

I think they process it based on first come first serve basis.. Mostly the speed in getting the AOR depends on the officer who is handling the file..

OMG guys, stop with these speculations. You are only making everyone go crazy. Next someone is going to say that they think that people whose first name starts with a vowel got AOR first.

Those who already got AOR are the odd ones out. It is totally normal that you haven't received AOR. If one of the new applicants tells anyone who applied earlier this year that they are wondering about not having received an AOR two weeks after applying, they would tell you how ridiculous that is.

I would appreciate if someone can help me giving some advice. I sent application for citizenship last week and probably it is not delivered to CIC yet. I have lived in USA for more than 183 days cumulative in last 4 years but never continuously for more than 183 days and in my application I answered No instead of Yes. I can get Police clearance from USA. I tried contacting Canada Post not to deliver the mail and they said it is Federal Offense to Stop the mail in between. What shall I do about this?

As soon as you have AOR, cent a Case Specific Enquiry specifying your misunderstanding of the 183 day question. Then send a police certificate.
