Hey guys,
I applied for my student visa for canada on 13th sep 2017 through VFS and got mail from canadian embessy,Delhi on 21st sep 2017 stating that my application has been received and is under process.On 5th oct 2017 i received another message from embessy stating that my application is still under process as there is much workload at embessy due to more applications and since then i have not received any reply from the embessy and when i checked the processing time on embessy's website,it showed 5 weeks and it has already been aprox 4 working weeks since i applied my application.Please tell me when will i receive my visa.

Their timeline has gone up from 4 weeks to 6 weeks since last year. Lot of students are applying to Canada this year. Wait for more 2-3 weeks. They will definitely have an answer by that time.

But i checked there site today and it showed 5 weeks processing time.

Don't worry. Just give them time, there is nothing that you can do. Best of luck!!!

teachers strike going on here. too bad situtation but luckily it wont affect our work permit eligibility after completing the course. The duration of the course might extend because of the strike.
