My wife has all education in english. She has Masters in science. She has given CLB test and got 8/8 from YMCA. Is she has to give proof of english as some extra document.
If your wife's Master's certificate clearly says the language of instruction was english, that should be reasonable proof.
I've asked YMCA last week if the CLB test is enough for citizenship and they said no. Unless if one attends LINC classes and was assessed during the classes...
Apart from the university certificate - IRCC accepts either:
- LINC classes certificate - or third party tests such as:
- CELPIP
- IELTS
Both are available for a fee though. CELPIP costs about $180 and IELTS around $280.
If you want to be extra cautious, you can have her go for either of the 3rd party tests referenced above, or attend LINC classes for a month or so (if she has time) and get a certificate assessing her langauge level.
