Update on Background Check

Hello Everyone,

i have applied for EE - July 06,2017.
AOR - 21 Aug
Medical Passed - 06 sep.

since then my BackGroundCheck status - "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

What it means? i am on IP2 level? any idea when i will receive PPR.

Hi,
It is quite difficult to determine if you are IP1 or IP2.
Actually, these 2 things don't have any significance either.
Some applicants see these changes in a certain order and tend to believe that this is how applications are processed.
But in reality, many applicants don't see any of the status updates at all and yet get their PPR within 6 months.

In my opinion, take this as a sign that cic is working on your file and you are still within their 6 months processing promise.
Checking the account every other day (or every other hour!) or trying to make sense of every little changes will make your life difficult.
Consider yourself lucky that your file is moving along smoothly and hope for a fast processing.

I waited 1 day short of whole 6 months for my PPR with almost zero updates showing in my account.
Please relax and try not to count the days or get frustrated if you see someone got PPR quicker than you.

I second with what @superspecial90 has concurred here. IP1/2 are mere statused with no concrete view as to where the PR App is currently in. In normal circumstances, with your current BGC status, your in IP2 status in my viewpoint, but then again its suspect to speculation. Do order your GCMS notes to better understand what's happening with your PR App @NirbhayJadhav. Good luck.
