New Form Question 9c/11

Hi All,

My wife is planning to apply for citizenship under the new rules. She migrated to Canada in 2014 March. So she has enough days towards the physical presence in Canada. As I am filling the forms, I am stuck on question 9C and 11.

9C says, "During your elig.period, did you live outside Canada".

She did not go back to any countries other than for few days of vacation. However the eligibility period is 5 years from the day of application (ie: 2012/Oct - 2017/Oct).

In this case, do I have to say "Yes", because from 2012/Oct - 2013/March she was in her home country.

Also for question 11, do I have to include 2012/10 - 2013/03 with her home address and what she did?

In both cases, the landing date is completely irrelevant for these questions. It's only about the eligibility period, which is five years.

So yes, you need to include that info in Question 11. Regarding Question 9c, see the first post in the FAQ thread.
