Is TRV or ETA required for somebody to enter Canada on Supervisa from India?

I want to sponsor my parents from India to come to Canada on Supervisa. I am a little confused whether they would need a TRV or ETA in addition to Supervisa, before entering Canada. Can somebody please advise?

A Supervisa is a type of TRV: TRV category PG-1.
