The important is...
If CBSA stamped your passport with specific date, means u need to exit Canada at that date but.. if they dont stamp it means u can stay up to 6monts

my friend receive email from ryadhvisa@international.gc.ca that your visa is cancelled and cannot able to travel that you have post on canadavisa.com that you want to apply asylam can he take chance to go to canada through border he dont want to apply asylam just for tourist purpose

Try to re-apply the visa and make his application stronger..
Anyhow you can post new discussion why he got refused... so the expert can help him

I dont understand you...
Visa granted or denied should be attached to your passport- not only informed from email or verbally...
Please go to embassy or fvsglobal to apply the visa

Has he received a reply from the Riyadh Visa Office (the correct email address with the 'i') about the validity of his TRV?

please see the email address and ensure it is riyadh.visa@international.gc.ca and not what's written here. Email address has "I" and a period "."

secondly, never heard that visa officers email to say that visa granted is now rejected.

There are only two options:
One, it was a phishing email.... or else, someone reported your friend to IRCC, the Riyadh visa office investigated and took action. IMO, the second scenario may not the case because due procedure has not been followed for cancellation of the visa + the email address is incorrect (made to appear like a legit address), etc etc

IMO, you and your friend are putting yourselves through avoidable stress. Do email the Riyadh visa office again to confirm if your friend's TRV is valid (without mentioning about the other email). Our speculations on this forum will not solve the situation. Only IRCC can advise correctly
