Is PGDCA from IGNOU evaluated by WES as a valid diploma?

hi,
Can some one please help me understand if I can get credit points for 1 year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application(PGDCA) from IGNOU. Will that be treated as two degrees as I have 4 years BE degree prior to that.
How can i get that evaluated from WES as the evaluation tool does not have diploma option in the drop down for courses. Thanks!

I don't think you can get a diploma evaluated as a degree.
But, diploma's are not degrees, right?
So, logically thinking, NO, you can not get it evaluated as another degree.
I could be wrong though!
Please send an email to WES for confirmation. You are going to pay them for doing something for you and you have every right to ask for any information before you assign them the work!

Thanks, actually I meant if I can get additional points for that considering it as diploma only. So if this is considered valid by WES, i will fall under category having two degrees or diploma. Is that correct?

If it the diploma is more than 1 year in duration, you are eligible for additional points.

Don't worry about the evaluation tool. WES evaluates post graduate diplomas as well.

It depends on how WES evaluates both your credentials together. For example, WES could evaluate that your Degree is equivalent to a 3-year Bachelor's Degree, and your Diploma as equivalent to a 1-year Diploma, but then the Canadian Equivalency Summary (the overall assessment) could be that your two credentials together are equivalent to 1 4-year Bachelor's Degree. You won't know until you get the credential assessed.

You wouldn't know until WES evaluates your credentials. We cannot predict.

One year and above. One year diploma is good enough.
