Wrong Wife name

Hi all,

My wife received her AOR but the name that is showing is her previous name, with a family name totally different from the actual one.

I was looking for more info but I didn't found.

It will be a problem for her? I mean, She is going to call CIC on Monday but do you think they will return her application and ask her to send a new one?

I am sure that I put her actual name on the correct place.

Do you know someone with the same issue?

I wouldn't be too concerned about the name in the online system. Instead I would suggest calling CIC. If the call center agent doesn't know what to do, bring the appropriate documents with you for the interview (during test) and double check with them that they have the name right.

Thank you my friend.
She is going to call CIC monday to verify this, but we never know what they are going to ask us. That's why we are anxious .

hello,

I recived AOR today too and they wrote my name wrong too (it appears my maiden's name not my actual name after marriage). We sent all the documents with my actual name so I don't know why would they use my old one. my husband called CIC today and the agent told him not to worry coz it doesn't matter as long as on COPR it's gonna be the actual name. I don't know if I should believe this or not. Did you got an answer from them?

I think they send the AOR with the name they have in the system, if you have provided the proof of name change docs with your application then they should correct it in the system while processing the application

My maiden name was never in their system. I always traveled with my married name :(

you must have provided ur maiden name in your immigration application, when u immigrated. As you have to provide all the names u ever used in those application forms. else how would they know ur maiden name.
