Mar24/16 applicant... will be in 19th month on Oct24/17... BG in process since Aug15/17...

as per latest GCMS notes received on Aug24/17... Appears all reqts met, PACE Office - CPC Ottawa...

but until now, still no updates from them... =(
my passport will be expiring in 8 months... Jun2018 to be exact.... and it will be take 10-12 weeks if I will renew my passport... technically if I will to renew my passport these days I might receive it on Jan2018...

do you think is there any possibility that we can get our DMs or PPRs before last week of November?
or is it safe to just renew my passport soonest?

your opinions will be highly appreciated.... thanks a lot in advance! =)

I tried to email IRCC but I think this is just one of their general replies...

"your application is in the final states of review prior to finalization and a decision should be rendered shortly. unfortunately, we are not able to provide you with a date on which your file will be completed. it is your responsibility to acquire the necessary VISA(s) for visiting, working or studying in Canada while your PR application is being processed. we do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required."

I believe it is safer to renew it. I was in the same situation as you during june 2017, and I decided to renew it the last day if the month with the hope of receiving a decision. I am still waiting DM is it is almost november now.....

OMG

I have not checked ECAS for so long time, I only checked my CIC account that I already linked my application on it.

This morning, after I ordered G note then I checked ECAS with a little hope and the status shows DM, but since when it has changed sorry guys for inaccurate information.

now I am waiting for PPR, I am January 11, 2016 applicant. Hopefully, PPR coming soon.

I just talked to IRCC call centre and he said that everything looks good and passed... but unfortunately he cannot give a timeline for our application... he confirmed that if luckily after I renew my passport... we have PPR... we can just notify IRCC to extend the 30days deadline for passport request.

I think I better renew my passport because I think I will not get passport request before December... and I think it will be safer... anyways, I still need to renew it....

but still hoping and praying that there will be some DMs and PPRs this week for all of us! let stay positive! =)

just in my case only... that I think I will be having trouble if I did not renew my passport because as of the moment my passport will be valid for 7.5 months only and I am not so sure if I will get PPR in 4 more weeks... call centre's advise earlier is very general as expected...
