Hi Everyone,

I am a PEI PNP immigrant came here last fall, but couldn't stay much in PEI due to weather conditions and lack of suitable employment and moved to Ontario for better prospects. I found out permanent job in Ontario in 2 months and has been working since then.
Couple of days ago, i received an email from PEI Immigration for their records asking me details such as current address, date landed in PEI, Date left PEI and reason for leaving.
Although the mail, suggest that this is for information purposes only and there are no consequences to your immigration status but still I don't want to give them any pointers which later affect me in any case.
Has anyone been in same situation and what reply is suitable to convince them that it's for working thing i had to leave.
Please, guide me and any suitable pointers will really be helpful.

Thanks.

Hi Rish,

I am in the final stage of PR application process and I too am having the same concern on how to survive in PEI since I have been nominated by them. By seeing your post, I am worried on how to go about it since I am into IT and I don't see much IT opportunities there which is weird on how PEI nominates candidates when there isn't much job opportunities :(

By the way did you inform PEI immigration office in advance that you will be moving out of the province? What was their response after that?

Although you have the legal right to move and live anywhere in Canada, being nominated by PEI PNP and have obtain PR though PNP you are expected to settle and try to live there. If no evidences of trying to settle and find a job, they can accuse you of misrepresentation.

So i would suggest to settle in PEI for 6 to 12 months before moving.
