Hey there - anyone have any advice on this? Application received 7/7/17, usual process followed with AOR, successfully linking account Schedule A and Police Checks submitted and request for medical (completed and showing as passed). Since my medical status updated to 'Passed' a month ago I've not heard anything. The bit that's got me worried is that ECAS is showing my status as "application received" - has not been updated to "in process" yet. Any thoughts on whats happening or how to get things unstuck? Looking at the timeline I would have thought I would have been transferred to VO by now (or at least "in process")
No need to worry your ecas will show in process when your background check is in process and after that it will transfer to visa office

Completely false. Your ecas will show in process once they start transferring the file to the VO. The background check starts being processed at the end of the process.

Because it happened to you it doesn't mean it's like that to everyone. Yours would be the only case I know of being like that. And the background check can be done partly in Mississauga, but the VO in that case finishes it, and that's the last step of the process before passport request.

My file was received on July 26th, file transfer was on September 15th. I think it's normal, you're a bit stuck in Mississauga. You could call them if you want to, perhaps they can give you more information about your file.

Did you get an email for sponsor approval?
Hey there - yes, received sponsorship approval about the same time as the request for medical came through. Wondering if the files I've uploaded via the CIC portal haven't been read / received for some reason?

Guys I got the following message, does this mean that I have to submit proof of payment and PCC again because I have already submitted.

"We have received your application for permanent residence in Canada and have created a file with the file number indicated above. Please quote this file number in all future correspondence with our office.

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible:

· Proof of payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid. Note: dependent children are not required to pay the Right of Permanent Resident Fee.

· Submission of police clearance certificates for you and all dependent family members who are 18 years or older, for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted. Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country."
